Meet the Team
Susan Detering, Owner Broker

susan@solidarityrealty.com
Like most Military brats, Susan has moved around quite a bit. That said, Madison convinced her to stay. For nearly two decades, Susan has been working in Real Estate and Small Business in Madison. She is now the owner-broker of Solidarity Realty and has managed several residential remodels, commercial build-outs, construction projects, and relocations.
Susan has a rare ability to instinctively consider the dynamics of a property: inside and outside, movement and flow, what works, what doesn’t. She applies the knowledge gleaned from her many years and diverse projects in Real Estate to help guide her clients toward the right choices to meet and exceed their goals.
Rooted in the values she grew up with — loyalty, service to others, and integrity — Susan represents her clients fiercely and ethically, advocating for their best interests at every step. At the same time, she believes the real estate community thrives when good outcomes are achieved for all, and she works with transparency, fairness, and respect to help create transactions where everyone can move forward confidently.
Calling Atwood home with her family of four… she has even recruited the grandparents to relocate to Madison! When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her in her garden, biking to meet friends, paddling on the lake, or contributing to the community through her service on the board of the Madison LakeWay.
She has a B.A. in Studio Art from Mount Holyoke College and a M.Ed. from Northern Arizona University. Her background in the Arts and Education, paired with life growing up on the family farm, means that she can not only swing a hammer, but she can craft a vision for what is possible.
Working with buyers or sellers, Susan brings her adept skill level, attention to detail, and calm nature to the transaction — always guided by integrity and the goal of helping everyone land in a better place. Give her a call for a consultation today.
Nadine Kornell Ritz

nadine@solidarityrealty.com
Nadine has over 6 years of experience with Solidarity Realty, helping clients navigate buying and selling – from empty lots, to multi-family investment properties. She especially enjoys working with first time home buyers, guiding them through the process with patience and care making sure they feel informed, comfortable, and confident every step of the way.
While she currently lives on the east side of Madison, Nadine is a born and raised small-town Wisconsinite who brings that same friendly, down-to-earth spirit to her work. She loves exploring the surrounding communities of South Central Wisconsin and takes pride in helping clients find not just a house, but the right neighborhood and lifestyle that truly feel like home.
Nadine is also an architecture student which deepens her perspective on the potential of each home, and allows her to offer clients creative insights into design, remodeling, and long-term value. Combined with her hands-on experience in rental management and remodels, she’s able to guide clients not only in finding the right home but also in envisioning what it could become.
In her free time, Nadine enjoys spending quality time with her three children. She also loves camping, biking, and playing board games, as well as dreaming up home improvement projects to start (and sometimes finish!) with her husband. Connect with Nadine today.
Darcy Haber, Founder
Darcy, the founder of Solidarity Realty, is now retired from day-to-day real estate work but continues to stay engaged as a consultant. She first arrived in Madison in 1992 for law school, and although she didn’t plan on staying, she quickly fell in love with the city. Over the years, Darcy has been active in the community as a consumer rights attorney, community activist, real estate professional, and Mom to two awesome children who have flown the nest! She has served on several boards of local nonprofits, including the Goodman Community Center, Community Shares of Wisconsin, the Social Justice Center, and the Greater Williamson Area Business Association. She now bounces between Boulder, Colorado and Madison.
